Learn to Fence

Take a mini fencing lesson at the Great Salt Lake Fencing Open

We will have you fencing your first bout in about 20 minutes. Just sign up for a $20 mini lesson and one of our coaches will quickly show you some basic skills and get you fencing ASAP. Mini lessons are held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and Friday at the Great Salt Lake Fencing Open venue. Just show up in some athletic shoes, T-shirt and long sweats and we will get you started (If you are under 18, you must have a legal guardian with you to participate).

There will be coaches from the various Utah and Idaho clubs to answer questions and help you get started.

Fencing Clubs in Utah and Idaho

The Utah-Southren Idaho Division has great fencing clubs throughout southern Idaho and Utah offering youth and adult programs. Every club has experienced coaches that can help you become a solid recreational fencer to national contender. Just give a club near you a call, and they will get you started.
